Articles, Books and Other Reference Materials
Many of the back issues of Stamp Lover, which is put out by Britain's
National Philatelic Society,
list titles of articles from the various magazines and journals that the Stamp
Lover indexes. Philatelic Literature Review, issued by the American
Philatelic Research Library, is another useful source. The
Postal Stationery Society is a good source for information about postal
stationery, especially useful if you live in Great Britain. My thanks also to
The Postal Stationery
Society of Australia for the Ed Druce articles concerning the postal
stationery of Aden. The addresses for The Dhow, for the Arabian Gulf
States Postal History and Stamps Quarterly, for the OPAL Journal
and for the ONEPS journal, The Levant, are available on the Arab
Gulf and Yemen Philatelic Resource Page. Please consider supporting these
journals and societies with your memberships, subscriptions and articles. My
thanks to M.A. Alhajeri, R.H. Courtney, J. Duester, J. Gilham, M.A.M. Graham,
J. Hart, T. Johansen, T. Jones, K. al-Omaira, M. Wozniak, and M.J. Zahedi for
their suggestions, additions and corrections. If you have any suggestions, questions
or comments, please email me.

The author reports that the rulers received 20 percent of the face value of

sources for these figures.
