Oxfam Mail and eMail Bid Sale #28 is scheduled to close on Friday, 29 October 2021.

Welcome to Mailbid 28 which, as you can see from the illustrations above, offers our usual variety of both old and new material including covers, stamps and many collections and country lots. On the left above is an example of pages from a typical world lot… nothing special, but it just happens to be one of the fuller pages in this extensive collection of lower priced worldwide material. We get a lot of donations like this old album, and we try to describe them as fully and accurately as possible. But it is hard for you, the viewer, to get a good impression of them, and we are unable to offer you the chance to view them in person. This makes our descriptions particularly important, and if we can do better, please let us know. In the meantime, we are ready to scan sample pages from some of these collections if you tell us what specifically interests you.

Again we have a section of Ontario postal history including many closed post offices. Although new modern covers are harder for us to get these days, we still have a few sources that allow us to keep envelopes intact, and some of these are in the bulk covers sections. Hopefully the stamp sections have lots of material to fill gaps in your collections.

This auction is a little shorter than normal because we are already starting work on a larger auction timed for CAPEX next Spring. No Buyers Premium: what you bid is what you pay, except for postage charges.

Lot Descriptions
- All mint stamps in this sale are hinged unless specifically identified as “MNH” = never hinged.
- We use common stamp abbreviations: F = fine, VF = very fine, M = mint, NH = never hinged, OG = original gum, DG = disturbed gum, s/sheet = souvenir sheet, SONCDS= sock on the nose circular date stamp, CTO = cancelled to order, and b/stamp = backstamp.
- Scott catalogue numbers and prices are shown except for Canada where the Canada Specialized Catalogue 2017 prices have generally been used. C.V. = Catalogue Value. and FV = Face value of mint stamps.
- All estimates, and all bidding and billing will be in Canadian dollars.

Bidding Instructions
- Minimum bid for any lot is $1.00.
- No lot will be sold for less than 50% of the estimate.
- Bid in increments of $1 up to $30; increments of $2 from $30 up to $50; and increments of $5 over $50.
