Mail and eMail Bid Sale #22
closes on 1 June 2018.
to our 22nd auction containing, as usual, a variety of mainly
inexpensive material that we hope will appeal to all types of
collectors. This time we feature an extensive Russia collection from
1865-1970. This material has a higher catalogue value than we normally
receive in our donations. Thus we divided it into 81 bite-sized lots to
give many collectors a chance to fill gaps in their collections. If
this approach works we will try to repeat it in future auctions when we
receive large collections.
There are a number of other interesting and unique items, for example
an 1820 stampless German cover, a 1916 German WW1 postal stationery
item, some NWT, NU and Yukon covers, and some of the first Canadian
personalized stamps, the stick-on variety. There is a wide
selection of topicals including several lots of Scout covers and
stamps. There is also a large section of first day covers,
both Canada and international.
Here is the link to our new Facebook page where we will post up to date
information about our auction, our mail order price list and other
snippets about our work. Please “like” us so you will be kept in the
picture – we promise not to overload you with details! https://www.facebook.com/oxfamstamps/
For those in the Ottawa area or visiting, we will also be holding a
viewing day at the Oxfam National Office on Wednesday 30 May, 10am –
